I like winning. I like when my sports team wins #GOSUNS. I like when my candidate wins. And I really like witnessing first hand a win in business. 18 days ago we announced our first vertical platform partner at pro.graphpaperpress.com. In 15 days they scored a solid win.
100 paying customers in 15 days = win.
So twitter could sneeze and get 100 signups. Foursquare probably gets 100 checkins/second. But when put in the context of what we are doing here at page.ly; offering premium WordPress hosting with premium value, 100 paying customers on a new product in 15 days is a solid win. Almost embarrassed to say that it took page.ly nearly 3 months to get to 100 customers back when we started.
The customers win
If you have spent anytime with Sally and I you will know we are huge believers in a win-win. The customers are the most important side of the double win and our customers have told us they are happy with our level service and product we offer. They win with worry free updates, backups, and bulletproof security. As we mature as product, their service and product only gets better.
The partnership with Graph Paper Press brought in a whole new group of customers to experience that win. Photographers and designers that were lost in the proverbial waste land of economy shared hosting now enjoy the same benefits page.ly customers get in addition to the great themes and service GPP provides in one nearly seamless experience. Graph Paper Press is enjoying a handsome financial bump from the new and growing customer base so voila: a triple win.
Spreading the win around.
We have not 1, but 2 additional vertical platforms in the late planning stages we’ll talk about next week. The partners we have chosen to work with in these markets are leaders and experts in their niches. Got some real cool stuff cooking in the oven. Prepare for future doses of MASSIVE WIN. ;)
Thanks to all of you for your support and encouragement.
